Frequently asked questions.

What payment methods do you accept?2019-11-19T21:43:16+02:00

Currently, our preferred method of payment in South Africa is a recurring PayFast subscription agreement, using your Visa or Mastercard credit or cheque card. PayFast allows the following additional payment methods: Instant EFT, Mobicred, Zapper, Masterpass, SCode, Visa Electron and Maestro debit cards.

We also accept direct EFT payments, but ask that you send your proof of payment to our accounts department, with the invoice as reference.

What is hourly billing?2019-11-20T09:32:55+02:00

Cloud server usage is billed hourly up to a monthly maximum of 672 hours (the number of hours in 28 days).

If you do not use your cloud server for the full 672 hours in the month, you will only be billed for the number of hours that you used it. If you use your server for more than 672 hours that month, you will be billed at the monthly cost.

We calculate cloud server pricing this way so that consistent month-to-month usage results in a consistent invoice.

All services are billed for automatically at the end of the month.

Will taxes be included in my monthly invoice?2019-11-20T09:47:18+02:00

Yes. We are required by law to collect taxes in some countries. You can visit our tax information documentation for details.

Am I charged when adding my credit card?2019-11-20T10:07:11+02:00

No, we only verify your credit card when you enter your card details. Your card is only charged at the end of the billing cycle.

Will I be billed for powered off cloud servers?2019-11-20T10:14:17+02:00
You are still billed for cloud server resources, even when they are powered off. This is because the resources, such as disk space, CPU, RAM, and IP address are all reserved for your server instance. You will not be charged if the instance is destroyed.
Which plan should I choose?2019-11-20T10:19:18+02:00

If you’re not sure which server is right for you, we recommend that you start small and work your way up. You can increase or decrease your server resources at any time.

What happens if I exceed my monthly transfer quota?2019-11-20T11:38:13+02:00

If you go over your monthly allowed transfer limit (as defined in our AUP), you will be charged R0.70 for each GB over your network transfer quota. Please note that inbound and private network traffic is free and will not count against your quota

Do you offer a trial period?2019-11-20T11:47:37+02:00

No. But we do one better. When you sign up for a free account, you will receive R100 free credit to use towards your cloud resources. This credit cannot be used to register domains.
